Abstract
Sweating is an imperative process by which our body thermoregulation itself. It is not uncommon for sweating to be associated with other conditions such as poly or mononeuropathies and myelopathies. There have been reports of cervical disc herniation leading to hyperhidrosis. Hyperhidrosis from lumbar radiculopathies, however, is very rare with only one case reported to our knowledge. Although the pathophysiology is unknown, it is thought to be related to denervation hypertrophy. Another rare phenomenon that occurs with radiculopathy in which complex repetitive discharges, that contribute to hypertrophy in type 1 muscle fibers leading to hyperhidrosis.
