Abstract
Small fiber neuropathy (SFN) is a chronic neuropathic pain disorder that is caused by damage to peripheral nerves, including small and myelinated (Aδ) and unmyelinated (C) fibers.1 Small, somatic, and autonomic fibers are responsible for regulation of thermal and pain perception, which control autonomic and enteric functions. Symptoms include allodynia, burning, hyperesthesia, paresthesia, numbness, abnormal sweating, and others.1
