Abstract

The study discusses the availability, usability and resource sharing co-operatives engaged by the Federal Polytechnic Libraries in South West geo-political zone in Nigeria. Questionnaires accompanied with site visits to the institutions were used for data collection and the Polytechnic Librarians were the respondents. Four Federal Government-owned Polytechnics in the South West of the country were studied. The findings indicated that there is adequate ICT awareness facilities but no effective resource sharing initiative among the Libraries. Suggestions for digitization and resource sharing are being proffered.
