Abstract
AbstractWe apply the effective field theory with a probability distribution technique to study the effects of the interfacial coupling constant and the thickness on the hysteresis of the bilayer. A ferroelectric bilayer with an antiferroelectric interfacial coupling is investigated within the framework of the spin –1/2 Ising model. The effects of the interfacial coupling on the susceptibility and the pyroelectric coefficient are also examined. (© 2007 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
