Abstract
By means of reactive RF sputtering we have obtained the stoichiometric LiTaO3 thin films with different degrees of c-axis orientation of grains. The influence of electric field on the degree of orientation has been investigated. Pyroelectricity of films has been confirmed. Above 200 °C a few isolated polarization reversals have been observed but the stable loops could not be maintained until 420 °C.
