Abstract

Lymphangiomas are congenital malformations of the lymphatic system characterized by clusters of translucent vesicles. Dermoscopically, yellow and bluish lacunea according to the lymphatic or haematic content were described previously, but it is difficult to distinguish them from haemangioma. In nine patients with cutaneous lymphangioma circumscriptum (CLC), hypopyon-like features were observed. None of the 10 patients with haemangioma had this finding. Hypopyon-like features can be a useful dermoscopic pattern in differentiating CLC from haemangioma.
