Abstract

The article discusses free massive open online courses (MOOCs) for long-distance university classes, with a focus on how data analytics, streaming video, big data, and adaptive learning programs are used in global classrooms. Topics include the effect of digital technology on learning and education as of 2013, educational change, and the implications of technological innovations on the educational opportunities available to poor people in developing countries.
