Abstract
SANBORN, C. R., MARQUARDT, W. C. & DUSZYNSKI, D. W. 1970. Hymenolepis miicrostoma: Early histopathologic changes in mouse bile duct. Trans. Amer. Micros. Soc. 89: 274-276. Bile ducts of mice infected with Hymenolepis microstoma were examined microscopically 4, 8, 12 and 16 days after infection. Changes in the bile duct progressed from slight eosinophilic infiltration at 4 days through distension of the duct, marked polymorphonuclear infiltration, proliferation of the mucosa, increase in goblet cells and fibrosis by 16 days. The pancreas showed inflammation and fibrosis.
