Abstract

Wood Actuators In article number 2211437, Wenshuai Chen, Swee Ching Tan, and co-workers report a wooden robotic hand for dexterous object–hand interactions and fire rescue that generates stretching and bending responses to moisture and heat/light stimulation. Multiple advantages are realized by one device, including good mechanical properties, multi-stimulus response, complex deformation, wide working temperature range, low manufacturing cost, and biocompatibility.
