Abstract

Hydrothermal epitaxy has been used in view of the mass production of magnetic garnet films. A lot of films with (Er,Gd) 3 (Fe,Ga) 5O 12 compositions have been obtained by series of twenty in the same run, in a two liters autoclave by the “exchange reaction” method. According to the growth conditions, thicknesses and bubbles diameters are in the 1 to 3 μ range. The properties of twenty films grown in the same run are given and compared. The quality of these films for bubbles applications are then discussed.
