Abstract

In this article, Al2O3 – Ethylene glycol nanofluid convective heat transfer in a porous medium has been simulated under the impact of magnetic forces. The Boussinesq-Darcy law and thermal non-equilibrium model are employed. The two-temperature model is utilized. The effect of Hartmann number, Rayleigh number, porosity, volume fraction of the nanoparticl is investigated. Results show that stream line enhances with rise of Rayleigh number while it decreases with increasing Hartmann number and nanoparticle volume fraction. Also, outputs demonstrate that local nusselt number is in a direct relationship with nanoparticle volume fraction and Rayleigh number, but in an inverse relationship with Hartmann number.
