Abstract

Unsteady laminar boundary layer flow of a viscous incompressible and electrically conducting fluid past a non-conducting infinite porous flat plate with variable suction inthe presence of a uniform transverse magnetics field is considered . General formulae for velocity and skin-friction are obtained under the assumption that the magnetic Reynolds number is small. The dependence of velocity and skin-friction on Hartmann number (M) is discussed graphically.
