Abstract
Hydrogen sulphide have become serious threat to the health management worldwide, the amount hydrogen sulphide emission keeps increasing due to several factors. The land field and industries are the major contributor of hydrogen sulphide emissions. Thus, this present the novel approaches to reduce hydrogen sulphide emission using hydrated lime. The hydrated lime was prepared from CaO with different of quick lime, several lime sample were prepared to determine the. The hydrated lime was prepared based on dosed with different amount of quick lime content. Significant reduction of hydrogen sulphide was observed over 15 days of treatment. The results further revealed that emission was not stopped by the low hydrated lime content indicating bacterial in the waste materials are resistant to low hydrated lime. Thus, 8% and above hydrated lime is needed to stop the gas emission.
