Abstract
An approach to selection of starting reagents for the synthesis of corrosion inhibitors was proposed. The approach is based on thermodynamic analysis of criteria of the adsorbability of surfactants at a metal from a dilute aqueous solution, as well as on estimation of the metal affinity of a starting reagent from its electronic structure. The results of laboratory and industrial corrosion tests of the VNKh inhibitors are presented.
