Abstract

Organic–inorganic hybrid perovskites are promising materials for optical applications such as LEDs, solar cells, and lasers. However, due to their organic components they are extremely sensitive to atmospheric or chemical exposure, making them difficult to nanopattern. In article number 2001627, Amit Kessel, Uriel Levy and co-workers explain the process of soft molding (SOMO) lithography and how it can be used to nanopattern solution-processed perovskites, by allowing the liquid perovskite to crystalize within a soft polymer mold which is later removed. The authors further investigate several paths in which nanopatterning improves the absorption and emission efficiency of the samples, which could further enhance future organic–inorganic perovskite devices.
