Abstract

Hybrid Organizations, Services Delivery and Polycentric Governance: The Case of Transitional China Xin Zhang Abstract This paper puts forth a hybridation theory of organization as corporate action, to argue that all organizations are hybrid and explain the diversity of organizations in reality. Moreover, it argues for the division of labor and collaboration between hybrid organizations in services delivery and governing globalization. The case of transitional China confirms to a great extent the labor division and collaboration between corporate entities in delivering education, healthcare and culture. Polycentric governance of complex economic systems is advocated, given the embeddedness of the state and market in civil society. Full Text: PDF DOI: 10.15640/ppar.v9n1a1
