Abstract
Ahstract-A hybrid method of multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA) and adaptive cross approximation (ACA) algorithm for analysis of dielectric electromagnetic scattering is presented. In order to resolve the low frequency (LF) break down, ACA is applied to accelerate matrix vector multiplication operations in the lowest levels, while MLFMA is applied in higher levels to maintain high efficiency. Numerical results demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the hybrid method which can deal with LF break down when conventional MLFMA failed.
