Abstract

황희는 18년 동안 영의정을 역임한 ‘영원한 영의정’이었다. 역대 영의정 중 가장 최장 기간 역임했을 뿐만 아니라, 창업에서 수성으로 나아가는 태조 이후 태종과 세종 시기에 정국 운영의 핵심 관료로서의 역할과 임무를 광범하게 수행했다. 부드러운 성품에 해박한 식견과 도량을 바탕으로, 정책의 입안과 집행에 최선을 다했다. 시대가 그를 필요로 했고, 그는 시대의 정치와 문물의 기틀을 잡는데 기여했다. 황희는 관료 생활 동안 부국강병을 위해 노력했으며, 백성을 위한 민생 정치의 이상을 실현하는데 집중하였다. 청렴을 실천하고 탐욕을 경계하였으며, 조선시대 관료들이 존경의 대상으로 생각했던 청백리의 대명사로 회자되었다. 황희의 생애와 관력( 官歷 ), 현실인식을 살피면서 역사에 겸손하고 국정운영에 성실했던 태도와 리더십을 읽을 수 있다. 관료로서의 진정한 자세와 태도가 무엇 인지를 알 수 있고, 당대 최고의 정승이었다는 의미 부여와 더불어 오늘까지 관료의 모범으로 숭앙되고 있는 이유를 확인할 수 있다.Hwang Hee was a prime minister who served during 18 years . Not only served as the longest period of time as a duty of prime minster but also he carried out a wide range of roles and duties as a main bureaucrat during Taejo and Taejong periods after Taejo from the establishment the Mercury . Hwang Hee has done his duty based on his gentle nature toward of his insights and did his best to draft and implement of polices . He was in need of the times and contributed to build on politics and cultural heritage. Hwang Hee strived for a national prosperity during bureaucratic life and focused on realizing the ideals of the people ’ s politics for the people . He practiced integrity and guarded greed , therefore , he respected as a clean government employee from the bureaucrats of the Joseon Dynasty regarded as objects of respect . We can read attitude and leadership that are humble in history and faithful to the administration of the state while examining Hwang Hee ’ s life , power and reality . Also , he knows what his attitude toward of a bureaucrat . As a result , He was the best succession of time being that we can confirm why we are as revered as a model of bureaucracy until today.
