Abstract

This article presents the results of a survey of HRM in foreign companies operating in ten countries of the Asian Pacific region. It provides insight into the human resource climate, recruitment and retention of local staff, and working values, attitudes and behaviours. The findings offer helpful guidance to those organizations from the West who wish to operate effectively in the region.
