Summary

Introduction

A recent update documented the highest rates of global MDR TB in 2009 and 2010 [9]. Our experience reported here underscores the need to be constantly mindful of this infectious disease threat in our increasingly borderless world, even in countries where incidence of MDR TB is low. Author affiliations: Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore Communicable disease surveillance report in Singapore 2010. To the Editor: Cysticercosis-like human infections with the tapeworm Taenia crassiceps, which infects foxes as terminal hosts, have been reported [1,2].
