Abstract

AbstractThe implementation of the concept of sustainable development affects different areas of society, in which the needs of the current situation are met, but the needs of future generations are not compromised. In this regard, it is particularly relevant to study the factors of achieving sustainable development goals, the key of which is the human capital of rural areas. This article describes the objectives of achieving sustainable development goals in their interrelation and interdependence with the elements of human capital of rural territories. We consider the directions and mechanisms of solving the tasks of forming human capital adequate to the processes of sustainable development, presented in the State Program of the Russian Federation “Integrated Development of Rural Areas”. Furthermore, we reveal the problems of rural residents on the basis of a survey of rural residents in the southern regions of Russia.
