Abstract

Introduction: Performance is a description of the achievement a program of strategic planning and organizational operational activities (efforts) by a person or group of people in an organization both in quantity and quality. Performance appraisal is concerned with how well a person does the assigned or assigned job. Basically, the level performance of nurses is influenced by factors from within the nurse itself and factors outside the nurse. This study was to determine the relationship of work stress, workload, burnout with the performance of nurses at the XX Clinic Jakarta. Methods: The design of this study was cross sectional. The sample of this study were nurses at the XX Clinic Jakarta as many as 30 respondents with a total sampling technique of sampling. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire. Result: The result of the bivariate analysis showed that the variable workload (p-value=0,001; OR=0,462), work stress (p-value 0,007; OR=16,667), and burnout (p-value=0,024; OR=0,611) were significantly related to nurses’ performance. The variable that has the largest OR is the work stress variable OR=16,667, meaning that nurses who have heavy work stress have a 16,667 times higher risk of producing low performance. Discussion: Work Stress and burnout have a significant relationship with nurses’ performance. Routine evaluation is needed in the implementation of hospital management as well as debriefing on the management and nursing staff regarding efforts to overcome exhausting internal or external demands when facing problems and building teamwork strong sense of respect and respect each other`s.
