Abstract
Gingivitis is inflammation of the gums that pregnant women are susceptible to. Skills are the application of knowledge. Pregnant women will experience hormonal changes in the body, including the teeth and mouth. The aim of this research is to determine the description of knowledge about gingivitis and the toothbrushing skills of pregnant women visiting the Ubud I Community Health Center. This type of research is descriptive research with a survey design. The type of data used in this research is primary and secondary data using question sheets and observation and interview sheets. The results of research on 55 pregnant women had a percentage of knowledge in good criteria 43.7%, sufficient criteria 38.2%, and poor criteria 18.1%. The average knowledge of pregnant women is 70 with sufficient criteria. The percentage of pregnant women's toothbrushing skills in the very good criteria 25,4%, 29% good criteria, 23.6% adequate criteria and 22% need of guidance. The average teeth brushing skill of pregnant women is 66.73 with sufficient criteria. The conclusion of this research that there is a significant relationship between knowledge of gingivitis and tooth brushing. There is a strong and positive correlation between knowledge of gingivitis and tooth brushing skills among pregnant women.
