Abstract

Background : Hospital patient safety is a system in which hospitals make patient care moresecure. Patient safety becomes a current issue in health care is based on the increasingincidence of adverse events (adverse events). Hospitals are required to pursue the fulfillmentof patient safety goals including the accuracy of patient identification, effectivecommunication enhancement, enhanced drug safety, precise exact-site precise-patientsurgical procedures, reduced risk of infection and reduced risk of falling patientsObjective : To know the relationship of knowledge and attitude with the implementation ofpatient safety standard in Installation of Intensive Care of RS Masmitra year 2018.Methods : The research method used is analytic. The sample in this research is all nurses atIntensive Care Installation RS Masmitra in December s / d February 2018 as many as 30peopleResults : Based on the result of univariate analysis of respondents with good knowledge(56.7%), good attitude (60%), and application of good SKP (43.3%). Bivariate analysisshows a relationship of knowledge and attitude with the application of patient safetystandardsConclusions : From the results of chi square test showed that the relationship of knowledgeand attitude with the application of patient safety standards
