Abstract

The operation causes a change in the continuity of the body's tissues. Family support is very important to motivate patients in carrying out mobilization. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between family support and the implementation of mobilization in postoperative patients. The research design used a cross-sectional design. The research was conducted on 12-27 July 2023 with a population of all postoperative patients in the Surgery Room of RSI Ibnu Sina Simpang Empat with a total of 37 samples, the sampling technique was Total sampling. The data were processed using the "Chi square" test with a 95% confidence level. The results of the univariate analysis showed that the implementation of postoperative mobilization was not good at 51.4%, not getting family support at 62.2%. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between family support and the implementation of mobilization in postoperative patients (p value = 0.012). It can be concluded that there is a relationship between family support and the implementation of mobilization in postoperative patients at RSI Ibnu Sina Simpang Empat. It is hoped that the hospital will provide more counseling and counseling about the implementation of mobilization.
