Abstract

This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 3 Dullah, Tual City with the focus of the research on the relationship between arm muscle strength and lower service skills of extracurricular participants. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between arm muscle strength and lower serve skills in volleyball extracurricular participants. Techniques for determining skills tests, and determining samples for extracurricular participants were 20 people. By using the correlational method. Correlation research is a research that involves collecting data to determine whether there is a relationship and the degree of relationship between two or more variables.Based on the analysis of research data from 20 participants, it is known that there is a relationship between arm muscle strength and service skills in volleyball extracurricular participants at SMP Negeri 3 Dullah, Tual City, the magnitude of the relationship can be seen from the correlation between arm muscle strength and bottom service skills. volley that is equal to 1.03. The conclusion is supported by the results of the t-test, namely Fcount > Ftable the value of Fcount is 2.16 and Ftable 0,190 then 2.16 > 0,190, this means that the hypothesis H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Then there is a significant positive correlation or relationship between arm muscle strength and lower service skills in volleyball extracurricular participants at SMP Negeri 3 Dullah, Tual City. accepted at the 85% confidence level.
