Abstract

Latitude 12° 02′.7 S., longitude 76° 20′.4 or 5h 01m.4 W. of Gr.]November 19–27— Beginning gradually in the early hours of November 19, a magnetic disturbance was recorded which continued at approximately the same intensity for about nine days. The maximum range in horizontal intensity occurred on November 19 and was 225 gammas. The disturbance during the entire period was characterized by small but relatively rapid changes in H and by an almost complete absence of the usual large increase during the daylight hours. There was also a moderate decrease in the mean H‐values during the period and slight disturbance in D and Z.
