Abstract
In recent years, pathways of care, or evidence-based treatment protocols, have emerged as a tool to improve value-based care in oncology in the US. Pathways may be developed by payer organizations, pathway vendors, professional organizations, or hospital systems. This research aimed to explore how the development, implementation, and influence of pathways differs at the following sites of care: large academic hospitals and integrated delivery networks (IDNs), regional hospitals, and private practices.
