Abstract

ABSTRACT The ability to present psychological findings in an effective manner is an essential skill for mental health professionals. Yet, despite providing trainees with hundreds of hours of training to develop their skills in direct patient contact, clinical supervisors rarely provide explicit instruction in how to make an effective case presentation to other professionals. The present paper provides an overview of the common presentational mistakes trainees make in case conferences, followed by specific recommendations designed to enhance trainees' development in this area.
