Abstract

Practitioners and scholars agree on the importance of intuition in the practice of management. However, there is a paucity of guidance for managers and management educators and trainers on how managerial intuition can be educated, trained and developed. The main idea of this paper is that intuition is a developable skill. The main argument of this paper is that managers need more and better guidance on how to develop and use their intuitions. The main contribution of this paper is that it proposes several methods by which intuition can be developed in management practice, management training and development programmes and in business school curricula.
