The spiraling cost of new drugs mandates a fundamentally different approach to keep lifesavingtherapies affordable for cancer patients. We call here for the formation of new relationships between academic drug discovery centers and commercial partners, which can accelerate the development of truly transformative drugs at sustainable prices.
