Abstract
Despite the media hype surrounding drugs for type 2 diabetes being repurposed into celebrity slimming aids, obesity still presents a seemingly intractable problem. In some ways, that's not surprising. A mutually reinforcing web of biological, behavioural and environmental factors contributes to obesity's ‘complex and multifaceted’ causes.
