Abstract

Abstract The superplastic alloys are characterized by strain rate sensitivity index (m). Actual values of m depend on temperature, strain rate and grain size. This experiment aims to attain maximum formability by superplastic forming processes in AA 5083 alloy using uniaxial hot tensile test method. To optimize the different material parameters such as maximum elongation, yield stress, temperature, strain rate and strain rate sensitivity index with the help of the uniaxial hot tensile method. An experimental and Finite Element method are adopted, to attain the permeability by achieving the material properties, at various temperatures and various initial strain rate conditions.
