Abstract

In this study, LC and YSZ coatings and composite coatings consisted of LC and YSZ with 25LC-75YSZ, 50LC-50YSZ and 75LC-25YSZ compounds are created via APS method and their hot corrosion behavior is investigated. Several analyses, including XRD, EDS and FESEM were employed to study characteristics of coatings. The results showed that the highest and lowest hot corrosion resistance are related to the LC and YSZ coatings, respectively, because of maximum percentage of tetragonal to monoclinic transformation as well as formation of cavity and crack. Besides, composite coating 75LC-25YSZ showed the best corrosion behavior compared to YSZ and the other ones.
