Abstract
Host-sensitized luminescence in KBr:I crystals has been studied. Temperature dependence of the intensities of two emission bands due to I −-ions is found to be characteristic of the energy regions of exciting light. It is pointed out that the exciton diffusion is most likely among various types of energy transfer to give rise to these host-sensitized luminescence.
