Abstract
otavirus is one of the major agents of paediatric hospital-acquired infections. The authors performed an audit of hospital-acquired rotavirus infection in a large UK district hospital with two paediatric wards. The rate of such acquired rotavirus infection was 1.9% of the total number of rotavirus infections recorded over a 4.5-year period, which is a lower figure than that seen in other similar reports and could indicate the effectiveness of the infection control precautions adopted.
