Abstract
Significanse of this work is to reveal the peculiarities of essayist thinking in the context of O. Zabuzhko’s works. In the Ukrainian literature of the 21st century, the most prominent essayist work consists of essays by O. Zabuzhko, which, in the first place, reflect political, socio-economic, cultural, and moral problems of the present in the artistic and publicistic key– in other words, it is a peculiar Ukrainian passport of the post-totalitarian period without any decorations, permeated with acutely realistic authorial subjectivity. Essay as a genre is characterized by a specific absence of order, zigzaglike thinking forms, which are directly reflected in the textosphere of novelets, novels, essays by O. Zabuzhko. Essayist thinking is аn integral part of essay genre. The research goal is in revealing synergistic nature of essayist thinking and its artistic forms of realisation. The key task of this work is based on the artistic features of the essayist thinking in the works of O. Zabuzhko on the materials of the works «The Chronicles of Fortinbras», «From books and people map», «And again I get into the tank...». Essayist thinking is the issue not investigated enough in psychology of creativity. In the essays of O. Zabuzhko, we observe the concentration of various types and forms of essay consciousness: philosophical thinking, lyrics, essays, comments on the works of other authors, epistolary, memories, reminiscences on her own creative process, interviews, various portraiture structures, etc. Essayistic thinking of O. Zabuzhko is reflected in an ideological-cultural paradigm of the late XX — early XXIst centuries, as evidenced by the writer essay, determined by the synthesis of the most diverse types and forms of literature. The author’s personality in essays acts as the body of existence, and culture is a way, means and result — in the form of a work.
