Abstract
The System of Fashion is the main reference and the starting point to determinate the contribution o f audiovisual media on homogenization and worldwide transmission ofFashion. At the same time, this paper intends to pay tribute to a book whose (late) appreciation as a paradigmatic text of the early structuralism applied. Semiotics (Sémiologie) is . still far from recognise is theoretical and methodological contribution to general Semiotics. The final section on this paper presents a typology of Fashion shifters in movies and examines the role ofTV in amplifying the Fashions shifters of movies and magazines.
