Abstract

SummaryMost of the animal exhibits at the Holden Museum of Living Reptiles have proved very successful, and longevity and breeding have been satisfactory for a new exhibit. Efforts to make the exhibit an attractive one have been very well‐received and the exhibit is the most popular in the Detroit Zoo, attracting over 2,000,000 visitors during the six‐month season annually. Some modifications have been made to displays, but only of a minor nature. Problems have been encountered with inadequate filtration of water in the display cages and temperatures in the public area have exceeded comfortable limits due to the large crowds. With the addition in 1964 of new ventilation fans, seven times the previous capacity, the comfort index now seems to be well‐adjusted.
