Abstract
We show that the set of Hamiltonian isotopies of certain unions of circles inside the disc is unbounded for the Hofer distance. The proof relies on a result by Francesco Morabito (Link Floer Homology and a Hofer Pseudometric on Braids. https://arxiv.org/abs/2301.08105, 2024) together with a standard argument of Michael Khanevsky (Geometric and topological aspects of Lagrangian submanifolds-intersections, diameter and Floer theory.
