Abstract

Culture is thenatural environment of strategy, and thestrategy itself directly shapes security by providing ideas and standards for professional strategists or politicians setting specific goals and tasks in thearea of security. Themain purpose of theconducted research is to analyze thestrategic culture of Poland and theUnited States by indicating its historical and partly ideological foundations. In addition, anattempt was made to answer thefollowing questions: What determines Polish and American strategic culture? What are their characteristics? In what actions and failures do they manifest themselves? Thebasic conclusion of theabove analysis is theconfirmation that Poland and theUSA have their own strategic culture shaped by historical and ideological experiences.
