Abstract

Hip Joint capsular specimens that maintained from 10 children who were operated on because of Perthes disease and 10 children who were treated because of another hip pathology, examined with light and electronmicroscope. We watched irregularity and abnormality in collagen and elastic fibrils of the hip joint capsular specimens that of Perthes disease. Also we believe to the fact that the capsula is virtually incapable of being distensible will increase intra-articular pressure in the hip joint especially after a transient synovitis attack.
