Abstract

The preparation of high trans-1,4-structure functionalized polyconjugated dienes by high-position/stereoregularity coordination polymerization of polar conjugated dienes can effectively introduce some heteroatom groups into synthetic rubbers. It can not only effectively improve the performance of synthetic rubber but also develop new functional polyconjugated diene materials to broaden its application range. The coordination polymerization reaction of the polar diene 2-(2-fluorophenyl)-1,3-butadiene (o-FBD) with high trans-1,4-structure (95%) has been achieved firstly by using monofluorene scandium rare-earth metal complexes (1-6) activated by co-catalyst system [B(C6F5)4][Ph3C] and Al i Bu3, and a plastic polymer P(o-FBD) is obtained, which has a high molecular weight (up to 10.6 × 104g·mol−1) and glass transition temperature from 16.8°C to 22.6°C.
