Abstract

The highly efficient frequency doubling of the high-power visible dye laser radiation in rubidium dihydrogen phosphate (RDP) is reported. An over-all power conversion efficiency of 52% was obtained at a fundamental pump power of 7 MW at 6370 Å. In addition, the temperature variation of the birefringence of RDP has been measured to be d (ne2−n01)/dT= (1.1±0.1) ×10−5 °C−1.
