Abstract

Ultra-wide band (UWB) wearable antennas are favorable in high data rate, low power utilization and short wireless communications without interfering on some systems. This paper proposes a microstrip-feed UWB monopole antenna based on highly conductive graphene assembled film (CGF). The UWB antenna has the advantages of good flexibility, mechanical stability, and light weight through using flexible materials. The measured results indicate the working bandwidth of CGF UWB antenna covers 2.9 GHz-11 GHz with the realized gain from 2.5 dBi-3.56 dBi. Furthermore, based on the good ductility and bending resistance of CGF, flexible UWB antenna can work stably under bending conditions.
