Abstract
Photographs have the power to inform and engage the viewer. Earlier this year, The Lancet invited submissions for Highlights, our annual photography competition. We were looking for pictures on any health-related topic that arrested our attention, and we were impressed by the rich variety of topics from diverse environments that featured in the entries for Highlights 2022.
