High Voltage Divider for Image Intensifier Tubes

Abstract

A corona-free voltage divider with adjustable lens voltages was designed which gives excellent protection to the operator from the high voltage. The divider was built in a box made out of lucite sheets, and a grounded panel is provided between the divider and the operator. Corona-free connectors for 50 and 80 kv were also fabricated. Corona problems and their minimization are discussed. (D.L.C.)
