Abstract
A high voltage, fault tolerant PMOS transistor and matched BiModal SCR have solved the unique integration challenges presented by applications in automotive electronic. These include; load dump, reverse battery, and short to battery protection. Often, these demands require multi-well isolation precluding the use of a standard CMOS process technology. This work presents a novel SoC type of solution that has been implemented in a mature single well technology. This further provides a reliability and cost structure more desirable to the end customer.
