Abstract

The paper explores the structure, mechanical properties, electrical resistance and ordering of the Cu3Pd alloy after severe, cold plastic deformation by multipass drawing and annealing. The alloy structure after severe deformation and subsequent annealing is studied by scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The proposed modes of the mechanical-thermal treatment allow producing the ordered Cu3Pd alloy wire with high strength and plastic properties combined with low electrical and high corrosion resistances.
