Abstract
In this study, a high step-up and high output voltage unidirectional DC–DC converter is proposed. This converter is based on coupled inductor structures and has several integral advantages as follows. The output of the proposed converter is stacked which results in high voltage gain, low voltage stress of output-side components and also, high voltage loads. Metal-oxide field effect transistors with low on-state resistance can be used. In the meantime, the input side of the converter acts like an interleaved structure, so the current stress of the elements is reduced and higher power application is available. In addition, there is no limitation for normal duty-cycle of switches. After introducing and analysing of the proposed converter, laboratory results are presented to validate the claims.
